Octavia's Story


"I was ready to start my life, ready to find a career and to become the best version of myself. It all started with HOPE, started with that foundation of 'You've got this.'" Today, Octavia uses her success to help others as a member of HOPE's Associate Board. "You don't have to be stuck. There are people here to support you."

Dashawn's Story


Before joining HOPE, Dashawn "wanted to be great, but had no idea where to start." Through guidance and support, he found his calling. "I am proud of the work I'm doing and I'm happy that I'm the person that's able to go above and beyond for people experiencing hard times."

Zarravon's Story

"Skills that I am using now, and can honestly see myself using for the rest of my life," Zarravon shared after graduating from HOPE’s Intervine program. His most memorable project? "The Field of Light installation at Freedom Plaza." Now a Citi Bike Mechanic, Zarravon contributes to New York City’s sustainable transportation efforts, helping create a greener, cleaner city.
